From Trauma to Opportunity

From Trauma to Opportunity

Good evening 🙂

Firstly, thank you so much for sharing this time with me. It means a great deal. I have to share something with you because,  maybe it can encourage you too on your journey. I have been working in an enviornment that has at times been a real challenge to me as an artist. It is great to be able to feel things so deeply, but it can also leave you fragile at times. I have learned something really wonderful today. I was under a great deal of stress due to a person I work with. The job caused me to feel tired as I have learned that our emotions make us tired if they are negative all the time.

I took a day and then decided to communicate with the individual. Coming in from a helping perspective instead of a defensive one, created a bridge for communication.  It built a bridge and a level of respect that was lacking. This is so great because I can continue to work in this enviornment, I can lower my stresses, so that I can continue to make music and art which I need to do, and learning on all parts has taken place.

The great thing too, is that I can also learn from this person, as they have  a great knowledge in music theory.

Emotions and artists are never far apart, but I am thankful that I was able to come through a possibly destructive situation and that it is now an opportunity!!

Anyways ! I wish you a wonderful weekend 🙂 I will be working on my music..because I have the energy too!! 🙂

for now

Rachel
